hour vow (in tens)

this is a self-portrait in my parent's downstairs bathroom mirror

the main point of this post is to say i have created for myself an hour vow. if anyone else wants to do it along with me cool! or make your own. or, never, never do anything like this. mine is:::::

*******HOUR VOW**************

1 dedicate [at least] one hour each day no matter what to creating poems or music

2 do this starting january 10th 2010 until (or beyond) october 10th 2010

3 do it when possible with this in mind, from poet myung mi kim's poem "duration":

"This is to be sung"
"This is to be done"

The lyric undertakes the task of deciphering and embodying a "particularizable" prosody of one's living

. . .song making and song gesture. . .

The poem may be . . .the ear by which the prosody by which to calibrate the liberative potential of writing, storehouse of the human. . .

To probe the terms under which we denote, participate in, and speak of cultural and human practices

To mobilize the notion of our responsibility to one another in social space
